Tips for cheaper golf in Castilla y León

Castilla y León is by far the cheapest region to play in Spain: quality courses in Burgos, Soria, León and Segovia with public rates of €35–40 and TEEUP reciprocal discounts of 10% to 40%. Lerma is the example we use most: €80 public weekend green fee, €45 with TEEUP. Weather rules: November to February brings frosty days; May to October is superb.

  • Weekdays. Monday to Thursday most courses publish rates 20–40% below weekends and holidays.
  • Low-demand times. Early morning, midday and twilight slots are usually discounted.
  • Reciprocal rates. TEEUP membership (€12.99/month or €99/year) unlocks negotiated prices; if one round a month saves more than the fee, it pays for itself.
  • Final price. Check buggy, tax, and whether the course requires a licence or handicap for 18 holes.
