The Campo de Golf Almerimar has established itself as one of the most popular courses on the Almería coast. Opened in 1976 and designed by Gary Player and Rob Kirby, it combines water hazards and palm trees with wide fairways and lush vegetation that create spots of singular beauty. In the beginning the course had 18 holes with a par of 72. In 2005 it was extended with a further 9 holes to become a generous 27-hole layout. Its wide fairways will delight lovers of the game and offer possibilities for players of every level. The layout demands great concentration from experienced golfers, yet can also be enjoyed by beginners. Obstacles —such as the water surfaces and the skilfully placed bunkers— guard well-kept greens, while the fairways feel like carpets.
