Tips for cheaper golf in the Basque Country
The Basque Country is where TEEUP was born and where our strongest deals are: Izki Golf (Urturi, Álava), Seve Ballesteros's course, with 55% off for members, and Larrabea (Vitoria) with 20%. In Gipuzkoa, Goiburu is the cheapest public green fee and Z1 Golf Indoor lets you play and practise on simulators in San Sebastián when it rains, which is often. Prices here are stable year-round; the saving comes from reciprocal rates, not the season.
- Weekdays. Monday to Thursday most courses publish rates 20–40% below weekends and holidays.
- Low-demand times. Early morning, midday and twilight slots are usually discounted.
- Reciprocal rates. TEEUP membership (€12.99/month or €99/year) unlocks negotiated prices; if one round a month saves more than the fee, it pays for itself.
- Final price. Check buggy, tax, and whether the course requires a licence or handicap for 18 holes.
