Tips for cheaper golf in Madrid

Madrid is expensive for golf: high demand and few public courses. The way to cut the bill is to play weekdays at municipal and outer-ring courses, or drive to Segovia (Air Golf, 50 minutes away, with a 20% TEEUP reciprocal rate). In the city TEEUP works with H0 Golfhouse, an indoor centre to practise and play on simulators regardless of weather or tee-time queues.

  • Weekdays. Monday to Thursday most courses publish rates 20–40% below weekends and holidays.
  • Low-demand times. Early morning, midday and twilight slots are usually discounted.
  • Reciprocal rates. TEEUP membership (€12.99/month or €99/year) unlocks negotiated prices; if one round a month saves more than the fee, it pays for itself.
  • Final price. Check buggy, tax, and whether the course requires a licence or handicap for 18 holes.

FAQ

How many courses does TEEUP have in Madrid?
1 as of this guide. The network grows weekly; the current list is at teeup.es/campos-de-golf.

Do I need to be a club member to play in Madrid?
No. With a federation licence and, for 18 holes at most courses, a handicap, you can book a green fee at any course open to the public. TEEUP does not replace your home club: it is how you pay less when you play elsewhere.
